Success with a Trade Show Booth

Having a successful day at a trade show is more about you than your booth.

You should have a few things with you of course.

  1. Signage, Either a banner or display booth with your name & Logo

  2. Business cards and brochures.

This is the minimum although it is possible to join a trade show with none of these and still be very successful at that show.

The key to a successful trade show is in how you conduct yourself.

  1. People buy from people, not business cards or signs.

  2. Engage with your customers.

  3. Be genuine.

  4. Don’t be afraid to have fun at a trade show.

More important than giving out a business card is getting one. If your potential customer does not have one take their information down on paper. If you only give out YOUR card only, it leaves you with no way to contact the customer and follow up.


**Always get your customer’s contact information.

Again, Be Genuine.


Sales is all about helping people not selling someone something they don’t need. Your customers are seeing a lot of people on the same day. The genuine ones will be the ones who stand out.
