Every year, the PPMA honours member companies and staff during the Awards of Excellence. While we couldn't hold an awards ceremony this year due to Covid, we still wanted to celebrate the best of our industry!

Resident Manager of the Year
If your Resident Manager is the best – we want to know!  Give us the reasons why they are the best in the province. Criteria: A Resident Manager who has shown dedication to both residents and owners, provides quality customer service through use of his/her expertise and skills, including effective written and verbal communication skills and demonstrates a willingness to learn and adapt to new methods.
Member of the Year
Recognizes a PPMA Owner/Property Manager who has been enthusiastically involved in activities to help promote our industry including; sharing their expertise, promoting professionalism in the industry, new member recruitment, attendance at monthly membership meetings and participation in Association events.
Outstanding Community Service
Recognizes a company or individual who has become involved in their community through volunteer activities, contributions to charitable activities and tenant relations/ community activities.
Advertising Award
Open to both members and associate members, this award will recognize an outstanding advertising campaign.  Logos, signage, printed material etc. can be submitted to show your company’s well communicated and successful advertising campaign.  Both members and associate members can enter on a self-nominating basis.
Innovation Award
Open to both principal and associate members on a self-nominating basis, this award will acknowledge innovative products, services or new technology within your company that has resulted in increased productivity, efficiency, customer satisfaction etc.
Maintenance Person of the Year
If your Maintenance Person is the best – we want to know!  Give us the reasons why they are the best in the province.  Criteria: A Maintenance person who has shown dedication to providing quality maintenance service through use of his/her expertise and skills and demonstrates a willingness to promote, learn and adapt to new methods.
Associate Member of the Year
Recognizes a PPMA Associate member who has been enthusiastically involved in activities to help promote our industry, including sharing their expertise, promoting professionalism in the industry, new member recruitment and attendance at meeting, as well as support of our Association through meeting sponsorship, participation in Association events, newsletter advertising, etc.
Outstanding Customer Service
Open to both members and associate members on a self-nominating basis, this award will acknowledge outstanding customer service offered by your company.  Written descriptions of occurrences and situations should be submitted.
Renovation of the Year
This award will recognize outstanding renovations and rehabilitations completed by members firms.  Renovations/rehabilitation can involve building exterior, suites, lobbies or common areas etc.  Entries are submitted on a self-nominating basis.  Please include photographs of before and after project completion.
Property Manager of the Year
Awarded to a Property Manager of a principal member company who has shown dedication and innovation to providing exceptional service to his/her owners and residents.  A person who grows and develops within the industry enhancing building values, sharing knowledge within the industry, staff development through education and training, professional development,  and excellent communication and customer services skills.
Historical Building of the Year
This award will recognize a company for maintaining the historical appearance of a building 75 years old plus.  Please submit pictures showing suites and common areas.
Long Term Service
Awarded to a resident manager who has served 20 years or longer within a certain property or specific management firm.  An individual can only be awarded this recognition once.
Landscaping Award
Awarded to a new or updated landscaping area on any property managed by our members.
